Candelilla is a unique natural wax with properties not exhibited by other waxes. With a natural resin content it provides excellent film forming capabilities, provides flex and gloss to stick formulations and promotes reliable gelling capabilities.

蜂蜡70%～75%的成分是具有偶数碳链，长度为24～36个碳的直链一元醇与直链酸酯化所形成的各种酯的混合物。直链酸所含的偶数碳原子**多可达36个，其中一些为C14位的羟基。所形成的酯主要是棕榈酸蜂花酯，同时存在的还有游离酸（约14%）和烃（约12%），以及约1%的游离蜡醇和脂肪酸的硬脂醇酯。 |

用于增加乳膏和软膏的稠度，温度油包水型乳剂等。也用于打光糖衣片和调节栓剂的熔点。 白蜡也用作缓释片的薄膜包衣，白蜂蜡微球用在口服剂型中，可抑制活性成分被胃吸收，使绝大部分吸收发生在肠道。用本品包衣可控制药物从离子交换树脂球中释放。 润滑剂、基质、结合剂、乳化剂、赋形剂、分散剂。 |
